Cut squares of flannel, layer with batting, stitch with the seams exposed. Clip seams and wash for a natural ravel effect. You’ll have your very own snuggle to enjoy!

Use pearl cotton and special embroidery stitches to create delicate flowers as defined as Brazilian Embroidery. Stop by to see a prize winning store sample. Kits of threads and fabrics available. (No sewing machine needed.)

This class includes the basic embroidery stitches: outline, lazy daisy, French knot, satin, backstitch, couching, leaf, long and short, running, straight, cross stitch, fishbone, buttonhole, and chain stitches. (No sewing machine needed.) Bring scrap fabrics, threads, embroidery hoop, or get your supplies at the store before class.

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to piece together the classic Double Wedding Ring then this is the class for you! Use templates to cut the sections and stitch them into a pillow top or 3-ring table runner. Use your favorite scraps or select a coordinated design to showcase your talents.

** Mariners Compass ~ Instructor: Twila Richter

Now is the time for you to try your hand, test your skills and create a Mariner’s Compass block. Turn the block into an outstanding decorator pillow. The class will involve either paper piecing or machine piecing for you to make perfect points. Experiment with ruffles, petals, or prairie points to accent your pillow.

Punch needle embroidery has a fanatical following—and why not? Incredibly simple to learn and portable. Start and finish in a few hours. Use it in quilt blocks or embellishing clothing as well as crazy quilts.

Make just 3 to 5 Ohio Star blocks for this charming table runner. Use scraps or a coordinated palette and finish the top in just one session.

Does that “Y” seam make your eyes cross in frustration? Come learn to make perfect “Y” seams. Make 3 stars for a table runner or 4 for a table topper.

* Machine Applique ~ Instructor: Twila Richter

Try three different techniques of machine appliqué that will rival hand appliqué. Play with the blind-hem, blanket stitch or fancy embroidery stitches your machine can do. This is primarily a technique class, but, you can leave with three blocks to make a wall hanging or table runner.

* Basic Quilting ~ Instructor: Twila Richter

In our upcoming basic quilting class, you will use a rotary cutter to cut fabric strips for both calibrating your sewing machine as well as for your lap or crib-sized quilt. You will use manufacturing sewing techniques to make your quilt quickly and accurately. You will practice and conquer machine quilting in the ditch and free-motion designs. Most of the work can be completed during class so there is little or no homework. Fee includes photo label of quilt.

**Trapunto ~ Instructor: Twila Richter

Trapunto is an Italian technique where you add an extra layer of batting behind a quilted design to raise it and give a 3-D effect. You will use your sewing machine for this class and leave with an 11” pillow top.

Use one of our many iron on embroidery patterns and a “darning” foot on you’re your sewing machine, along with fast music to stitch a colorful design for an accent pillow or quilt block. The class uses free motion embroidery to unleash your creativity.

These are just too cute! A scrap sack for by your sewing machine or serger with a weighted, silica filled pin cushion to hold it in place. Make one for you and another for a friend!
